Surprising update for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate fixes PS5 bug
Ubisoft announced today that title update 1.53 for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will launch on February 23 for PlayStation 4 users in a post released on the company’s website. This update is supposed to specifically fix a flickering issue that PS5 users who attempted to play the game via the console’s backward compatibility feature have experienced. For one reason or another, Syndicate suffers flickering issues, despite being generally compatible with PS5. As a result, fans have been alerting Ubisoft to the need for a fix for quite some time. Thankfully, that remedy is now being implemented quickly enough.
As previously said, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate was the final installment in Ubisoft’s open-world series that shared a lot of similarities with the original games in the series. Syndicate had a sizable fan base. But the game didn’t end up selling well. Which prompted Ubisoft to significantly revamp the franchise with AC Origins in 2017.
Curiously, the Assassin’s Creed franchise has now completed a circle. Also, they will soon release Assassin’s Creed Mirage, a game with a more retro aesthetic. Mirage will take place in a more constrained setting. It will be a considerably shorter experience overall compared to the aforementioned chapters. Even though the fact that the most recent entries in the genre with AC Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla have all been enormous successes. As such, individuals who have good recollections of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will want to keep a watch on Mirage when it comes in the coming months.
