Online footage of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has surfaced as a result of recent speculations. The upcoming BioWare title Dragon Age: Dreadwolf marks the return of one of the studio’s most popular titles. Dragon Age: Inquisition, the last game in the series produced by the studio, debuted in 2014 and immediately became a tremendous smash. After that, the developer tried its hand at a new IP called Anthem, which crashed and burned horribly, and temporarily returned to Mass Effect with a rather shaky spin-off. It goes without saying that BioWare needs a victory because of its recent losing skid. With Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, it has been taking its own time, but recent gameplay footage reveals things are looking well so far.

Dragon Age Dreadwolf gameplay footage is already on the internet

Following a previous article discussing some of the gameplay improvements in this upcoming chapter, Reddit user revanchisto revealed more information, pictures, and footage of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf (via ResetEra). The leaker confirmed reports that the gameplay was more hack-and-slash in nature and mentioned that God of War from 2018 served as a major inspiration. It has a far more interesting appearance than previous games in the series, and one of the few gameplay snippets shows an animation of the player attacking an adversary in a manner like to a dropkick, which suggests this entry’s animations are much more refined. The leaker also mentioned that the player may hop about and parry/counter assaults with the sword and shield.

Since BioWare has mostly stayed to speak very vaguely about the environment, plot, and mythology while exhibiting concept art, this is the most specific thing we’ve seen from Dragon Age: Dreadwolf thus far. We don’t yet know when the game’s creator plans to fully reveal it, but perhaps this summer during E3. It’s definitely safe to conclude that the game won’t release this year because we’ve heard so little about it, but perhaps it will have a short marketing cycle and release over the Christmas season. Besides the leaked Dragon Age Dreadwolf gameplay footage, we have more articles on our website.
