The conclusion of Resident Evil 4 Remake appears to hint at a potential next game. What will happen to the series next is a subject of much conjecture. It is inevitable that Capcom is working on Resident Evil 9, but it is less clear which previous game in the series will get the remake treatment next. Although Resident Evil 5 appears to be a sure thing, it’s possible that the original game will receive a modern remake. A remake of Resident Evil: Code Veronica is unquestionably in the works. However, Resident Evil 4 Remake’s ending hints Resident Evil 5 rather than a return to the original game or Code Veronica.
Is really the next Resident Evil Remake on the way?
There is a moment with Wesker at the conclusion of Resident Evil 4 Remake, and in this sequence, players can view footage of Excella Gionne, a Resident Evil 5 character and Wesker’s business partner. Also, there is video of the garden where Chris and Sheva in Resident Evil 5 find the Progenitor Virus’s origin. For those who don’t know, Resident Evil 5 premiered in 2009 and has since gone on to sell 8.5 million copies, making it the series’ best-selling single-game release. In fact, up until Monster Hunter World was out in 2018, it was the most popular Capcom game. Although though it had strong sales, it did not receive the same level of praise from critics as other books in the series. It and Resident Evil 6, which shifted the series’ emphasis from survival horror to action, are seen by many fans as the series’ low points. Because of this, despite its widespread appeal, replicating it is more complicated than remaking other games in the same series.
