It appears that Pikmin 4 release date may have recently been leaked online before Nintendo made an official declaration. According to what is already known, Nintendo’s catalog of Switch exclusives will be somewhat smaller in 2023 than it was in previous years. The only two noteworthy first-party games on Switch, other from Fire Emblem: Engage, which Nintendo released this year right off the bat, are The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Pikmin 4. Even though Tears of the Kingdom already has a set release date, Pikmin’s new game appears to be following closely.
Pikmin 4 release date might be May 26
The latest release date for Pikmin 4 is May 26, according to Greek retailer Game Explorers. Although the origin of this date is unknown, May 26th does fall on a Friday. Which is often the day of the week when Nintendo launches new first-party titles. Although for the time being this date should be treated with extreme caution, shops have been known to leak dates in the past, so there may be some truth to this claim.
This proposed release date makes little sense for a number of reasons, but most notably because The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s release date is so close by. In case you missed it, Tears of the Kingdom will launch on the Nintendo Switch on May 12, 2023. Given this, it’s a little perplexing that Nintendo would try to release two of its biggest exclusives of the year within a two-week period. Even so, stranger things have happened in the past, so maybe this isn’t completely impossible. Besides the leaked Pikmin 4 release date, we have more articles for you.
