Nintendo and Illumination Entertainment have launched a brand-new commercial for The Super Mario Bros Movie and it shows a new power-up. The 30-second ad primarily includes scenes from the second trailer, such as Mario’s fight with Donkey Kong. A new power-up that hasn’t been shown in previously published footage is present in the advertisement, though. When Mario strikes a Question Block with what appears to be a Super Bell at about the 16-second mark, Cat Mario immediately engages DK in combat! Seth Rogen’s Donkey Kong laughs at the metamorphosis and starts to punch with the words “now you die.” The new commercial, which is embedded below, was posted on the movie’s official Twitter account.

What is the new power up revealed by the Super Mario Movie commercial?
The Fire Flower, the Tanooki Suit, and the Cat Suit are the three power-ups from the series that have thus far been made public for the film. The Cat Suit, in contrast, is a much more recent power-up from the series. It has debuted in 2013’s Super Mario 3D World. Despite it makes the user appear a little stupid, the power-up is actually incredibly helpful in the game. It has been somewhat of a fan favorite over the past ten years and recently made a comeback in the video game Bowser’s Fury. It will be interesting to watch how Mario employs it in the movie and whether or not it aids him in combat success against Donkey Kong!
Chris Pratt’s Mario is a rookie to the Mushroom Kingdom in The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Heis still figuring out how everything works, including power-ups. In the second teaser, we can see Princess Peach showing Mario how to utilize a Fire Flower. The movie appears to be able to introduce individuals who have never played a Mario game to this world a little bit more! On April 7th, The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be released. Besides the new Super Mario Movie power up, there are more exciting updates and guides on our website.
