The release schedule for Endnight Games’ Sons of the Forest has modified. But the game will still be available on time on February 23. The game won’t really be released on that day. Rather, it will enter early access on that day. So, the Sons of the Forest Early Access release date is now confirmed. The decision was made this week. The developer explained that it was chosen to prevent having to postpone the game once again and to get it into gamers’ hands when they expected to.
On Sons of the Forest’s Steam website and in the developer’s social media posts, information about the game’s new launch schedule was disclosed. Sons of the Forest, the company Endnight Games’ first game after the surprise smash The Forest was launched in 2018, is still under production, but the developers wanted to stick with the February 23rd release date.

Endnight said, “It’s been a long journey since we first started ‘Sons of The Forest’ development. It’s grown into the biggest most complex game we have ever made. There is still so much more we want to add; items, new mechanics, gameplay balance and more. We didn’t want to delay again so have instead decided to involve the community in the continued development of this project and keep our February 23rd release date but instead release in Early Access.”
Endnight kept reflecting on The Forest’s success while promoting its sequel as the “ultimate survival horror experience.” Endnight said, “‘The Forest’ turned out to be a massive success, due mostly to the awesome community and the suggestions, feedback, and bug reports the players shared with us. We are really excited and hope that players want to come on this new journey with us to make this the ultimate survival horror simulator.”
Throughout the course of its development, Endnight has only sometimes provided gamers with updates on the game, including gameplay videos and less significant news articles like this one. The release date of the game was initially set for May 20, 2022. However it was later moved to October 2022. It was postponed from last August to February 23rd since it missed that deadline as well.
